Let us END it NOW.
From November 25, 2015 to December 12, 2015, All Filipinos are enjoined to take part on the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW). — If anyone does not want to participate or take part on this campaign, or do not support this advocacy, at the very least, DO NOT COMMIT ONE.
Then, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte recently admitted he has “two wives and two girlfriends”. I believed this may fall within the context of “violence against women” — not to mention the possible violation committed by Mayor Duterte by not adhering to the “Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards For Public Officials and Employees”.
Moreover, in part of Rappler’s report by Ms. Pia Ranada, he even described the two (2) girlfriends. “The younger of the two works in the cosmetics department of a mall in Davao City. The other is a cashier. Of her he said, “Medyo matanda na pero mas maganda (A bit older but she’s more beautiful).”
So far these last few days (or even way way back before), the name “Mayor DUTERTE” is automatically associated with “VIOLENCE”. As you can see, the Mayor himself is even proud of it.
So again, Let us END Violence Against Women (VAW) and at the same time, END Rodrigo Duterte’s Malacanang Dream. What better date to do this than between November 25, The International Day Against VAW and December 10, The International Human Rights Day.
