The Other Man

Boy meets Girl.

Nagkahiritan.  Nagkahulugan.  Nagkadenyan.  Sinalihan ng mga Kontrabida.  Nagmala- You and Me against the world na style. Nagkatuluyan.  The END.-fin-.

(I think even our local television series follows the same trend.)

May mayamang guy at mahirap na babae (or the other way around)

-the usual plot-

Hep.Hep.Hep.

I’m not going to talk about the leads of the story now.  Liko tayo nang konti to meet the person who had always been on the sideline.  Yung taong always na lang na tagasalo ni Lead Actress, yung mala Knight in the Shining Armor in times of need…

Let’s all meet THE OTHER MAN.

THE SECOND MAN sa story.

Think about:

*HUA ZE LEI (played by Vic Zhou in Meteor Garden)

*YOON JI HOO (played by Kim Hyun Joong in Boys over Flowers)

*HANAZAWA RUI ( played by Shun Oguri in Hanayori Dango)

{ I needed to mention all 3 characters para walang makalimutan}
*DYLAN (played by Baron Chen in Fated to Love You)
*PRINCE YANGMYUNG (played by Jung Il -Woo in  The Moon Embracing The Sun)
*CHOI GANG-HYUK a.k.a PILLAR ( played by Lee Ki-Woo in Flower Boy Ramen Shop)
*SHUICHI NAKATSU (played by Ikuta Toma in Hana-Kimi)
*KANG SHIN WOO (played by Jeong Yong-Hwa in You’re Beautiful)
{Nahalata na ba na wala na akong ginawa kundi ang manood ng drama? Addict mode}
Oh well. So far, these characters made a mark because they’ve been the PERFECT description of THE SECOND MAN.
Sino nga ba and Second Man?
Siya yung “THE OTHER GUY” (as what I’ve said earlier).

Mature, Maunawain, Supportive, Selfless.
 Kapag on the rocks yung dalawang bida eh siya yung tagapunas ng luha ni lead actress, tagapayo, hingahan ng sama ng loob at taga alo.  In every way he can, he tries to make the woman he loves happy and does everything to make life bearable for her.
In short..
Siya na sana ang PERFECT MAN.
But in the end..SIYA DIN YUNG NAGPARAYA para magkatuluyan si lead actor at lead actress.
But you know what, I’ve realized (due to all the dramas I’ve been watching lately) that the existence of the second man shows us that when things aren’t meant to be, then they’re just not meant to be kahit ano pang gawin.  Kahit gaano pa kaperpekto yung second guy, even if he is capable of giving the “perfect”love eh hindi pa rin siya yung nananalo in the end.
Why?
Because “BEING PERFECT IS NOT ENOUGH”  to win the love of someone.
