I know many of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans cried when Black Widow gave her life in Vormir for Hawkeye to obtain the Soul Stone in the recent Avengers: Endgame movie.

The scene left a sour taste in our mouths. But if we think that we’ve already seen the end of Black Widow, well, we may be wrong.

Rumors about Scarlett Johansson filming for a Black Widow solo movie resurfaced on the Internet after she was spotted in Norway completely in costume and with the iconic hair.

The leaked photos and video footage of the Johansson’s shooting reveal nothing of the movie’s plot. But the speculations of a Black Widow solo movie suggests that it may be a prequel or an origin story.

A few different scenes were captured already, like Natasha Romanoff entering and leaving a convenience store and arriving in the town on a ferry.

As of writing, there are still a few known details about this new Marvel’s movie. Since it’s taken the Marvel’s Studio years to finally produce this Black Widow film, they’re not going to spill the beans that easy it would seem.

So far, what we know is that the current working title of the film is “Blue Bayou” which reveals absolutely nothing about the movie’s story line or even the many facets it would be focusing on.

There have been theories that the Black Widow movie would mainly set in the MCU between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War while some say that it’s set in between Infinity War and Endgame.

While others suggest that it may be set in an alternate timeline after Avengers: Endgame. After all, 2014 Thanos has left his timeline in Avengers: Endgame to obtain the Infinity Stones in 2019.

Natasha Romanoff first debuted in the MCU in Iron Man 2, and since then, she became a fan favorite character. She began as a KGB agent before Hawkeye was sent by S.H.I.E.L.D. to exterminate her.

However, Hawkeye disobeyed this order when he recognized Black Widow’s skills. He suggested she be recruited.

Reports say that Johansson herself is producing the Black Widow solo film. The movie is expected to be released in 2020

Whatever the plot, story line, or setting of the movie is, we’re all just excited to see Black Widow on the big screen again.
