WATCH: This is How the DSWD Packs the Relief Goods Now

It could not be denied that packing relief goods can be a back-breaking, difficult task that would take days to finish if you need to have thousands to pack and release to the victims of a calamity.

In the past, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) needs a lot of volunteers to pack the goods in plastic bags and place these in huge boxes to be delivered to the affected areas but new machinery has been acquired to make the process faster and more efficient.

Just check out this report by PTV (People’s Television) they shared on Facebook showing how the relief goods are being packed now. Amazingly, the relief goods now come in boxes which were filled in assembly line manner.

While the DSWD still needs plenty of volunteers to do the actual repacking and sealing of the boxes, the job has certainly become much easier compared with how things had been done in the past.

Anyare? Natapos na pala last year so, huweso? Di ba kinailangan yan mula nung September 2015 hanggang sa umupo si Presidente Digong at nung bagong DSWD Secretary? Mali seguro ako na walang kalamidad in between.

That only shows that the previous admin made the job easier for the next administration…isn’t that so ?

Actually that was a wrong deduction. Paved the way to make job easier for the next admin? Not so! Ask yourself first: why was it not utilized by the previous admin for its purpose. They spent tax payers money to build such facility to make packing of relief goods quicker and more organized. Instead of making use of it, they still made use of manual labour. Kudos to the present admin for the intelligent decision of not wasting the previous admin’s project, for using it for its purpose! Remember Bataan Power Plant? Project of the late President Marcos? Where Cory Aquino, mother of the previous President abandoned, wow amazing, abandoned the multi million project that could have helped a lot of Filipinos to pay much less on electricity bill for the mere reason that it was a project by her enemy? Do you know that the sister of that Bataan Power Plant that is located in Japan is still functioning? Just some thoughts for you. Won’t be responding anymore to any comments made on this post. Thank you.

Thanks to PNoy’s admin for using people’s taxes wisely to provide DSWD with faster packing equipment.

yeah, but it hasn’t actually been used properly before at ginawang tao-tao ang pagpapack ng relief goods dati. Was it because of some hidden agenda of some local DSWD OFFICERS in the past knowing that they could get away with their wrong doings?

Asan ang using wisely the people’s taxes dun?

That packing machine was installed during the time of PNoy. Read 2012 news reports regarding that. So it was not manual. You have the wrong info.
