The Importance of Values, Morals and Ethics in the Philippine SocietyIETY!
It has been said that values, morals and ethics are inseparably connected or associated with. Values are what we learn from childhood; the ‘stuff’ we grasp from our parents and our environments. Morals are the fundamental beliefs established from the value systems of how we should act in any certain condition. Ethics, on the other hand, are how we actually do act in the aspect of complicated situations that check our moral character.
The Importance of Values, Morals and Ethics are the rules we live in a civil and unprejudiced society. We use them to guide our dealing with others, with our friends and family, in our businesses and professional
Our values, morals and ethics are a reflection of our character. Such a person will be a model to the rest. They are what we hope to model for our children and the children around us. The children do keep an eye on us as they progress their own wisdom of right and wrong.
We the people can criticize our government and country because you love your country and want it change for the better. It’s no different than parents disapprove of their children because they see differently and want their children to do better.
Look and listen for the welfare of the whole people and have always in view not only the present but also the coming generations, and see the battle for the future be fought from here forward. We all desperately need want to change our lives. And above all, we need good future for our children and grandchildren.
If people weren’t permitted to address about the problems in our government, our country could go rotten and it will never change, no matter what. Criticism possibly contributes to the beginning of new reformation and therefore the government would turn into a better functioning system. Blind support of anything is never a good thing.
We can show our love and loyalty to our motherland through the righteous values for moral and ethical behavior. By now we must first honestly recognize that we need to change our ways. We must learn to discipline ourselves first, so we can start for a new beginning.
Let’s put all our hands together to be the one to make a difference. Together, we can take back our country and restore the government who can in turn educate the citizens and leaders of better future societies. And unbelievably, we can actually do something within society. We will be astonished to see how much more gratifying we become of the society we live in.
There is no more fundamental ethical value than honesty. Honesty in conduct is playing by the rules, without theft, embezzlement, fraud, ploy, and other hocus-pocus. This honesty will help you make in person improved, simply because you had the ability to admit your mistakes and a better way to affirm to yourself that you are educating yourself. It will help us follow the other values in society and, truly, “Heal the Country”!!
Ethics are way of thinking and point of view about those things required to achieve good conduct on how to behave you. SOCIAL ETHICS has more to do with what is good and right for a society to do and how it should act as a whole. It’s a general set of unwritten guidelines with regards to direct dealings with other people so as not to harm others in order to have a well-functioning society. It’s a give and take. And that becomes the first social ethic we need to learn. When you give something it does come back to you in some way or the other. Give but within limits. Too many gifts can spoil someone.
What our society clearly needs today is LOYALTY. We need to be loyal to each other, to shiver from fear of speaking, or thinking negative about each other. We stand together and loyal against something that will harm our society and to stand up for the oppressed. It is this loyalty that will bring down the walls and make Philippines as a fully developed, progressive and competitive again!
When our attitude begins to change and will do good things there are no reasons at all that we cannot commit peaceful and progressive nation. To bring about change, we must change ourselves first for the benefit of our nation!
“If there is righteousness in the heart, there will be beauty in character, if there is beauty in character, there will be harmony in the home, when there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation, when there is order in the nation there will be peace in the world”. –Chinese Proverb
