I’m Single but I’m Happy

I’m 23 and I’m proud to say that up until now, I’ve never been in a true relationship. But, I do have my share of puppy love, first love, all the heartaches and pain. Yes, there came a point in my life na I wished and prayed so hard na sana magkaroon na din ako ng happy na lovelife, especially when the time came na ako na lang sa barkada ang wala pang boyfriend. At some point, I even thought of maybe there was something wrong in me kaya wala pa akong nagiging boyfriend. Or siguro, hindi kaya tama sila, masyado akong choosy?
Not until late last year that I began to realize that being single is actually a blessing. I can do whatever I want, whenever I want, wherever I want and with whomever I want to be with. It’s also easier to manage work-related problems than mending a broken heart. On a more serious note, being single allows me to practice my right of free will and decision-making. Being able to decide on your own makes you have a sense of responsibility, and so, in a way, you become more mature as well. Being single, means you also become stronger in facing the challenges in life. One of the best things that I recently discover in being a single is that I learn to appreciate myself better, knowing my capabilities, my strengths and weaknesses.
I’m not saying naman na you can’t achieve all of these when you’re in a relationship, what I’m just trying to say is that, I don’t need to be bitter kasi I’m single. And, there’s more to life than having a boyfriend. I just need to enjoy what I have right now. And isa pa, we don’t need a boyfriend to complete us, rather, we should make sure na pag pumasok tayo sa isang relationship eh buong buo na tayo para we can complement each other.
I know that having that special someone in your life to share the good and the bad times is such a rewarding feeling, but having no one doesn’t mean that we should be less than happy and grateful.

tama ka,, ang pagiging single ay masaya. wala kang ibang iisipin kundi ang sarili mo lang. pero may dis advantage din kasi pag single. d mo mararanasan ang mga best moment mo in life kung wala kang gf/bf.
my daughter is already 31 yrs old and still single. . . sabi nya mas ambuti pa ang single di ako magmadali pag uwi ng bahay para magluto. . . LOL
at least, your daughter is happy on her status, pero who knows, she might fall in love din..soon^.^

This is true..pero minsan nakakaingit din..ako din single nga im 25 male..tsk3x..forever alone na lng ba tayu? Tayo na lng..hahaha
haha..don’t worry, darating din yan..sabi nga nila di ba, hindi naman un hinihintay, it’ll come when you least expect it..well, true, minsan nakakainggit din..pero for sure, meron din naman naiinggit kasi single pa tayo..hahaha..kaya let’s enjoy life na lang..
