Araw-araw ng pagpasok ko sa trabaho, paggising ko pa lang at bago maligo, ISUSUOT ko agad ang problema ko; ang hirap ng walang uniform sa kompanyang pinapasukan ko. Basta presentable ang maisuot, okay na sa kanila.
Minsan, isang umagang kay ganda, alam kong medyo late na ako sa trabaho at ba-byahe pa ako, ang hirap kasing mag desisyon ng isusuot eh! Sumakay ako ng jeep, yung kung tawagin ay patok, madaming tao ang makakasalamuha mo sa sasakyang ito, may mahirap, may mayaman (siguro kuripot kaya nag jejeep), may mga professional at may mga sabihin na nating medyo hindi nakapag-aral dahil sa hirap ng buhay, at higit sa lahat (na sa tingin ko ay pinaka ayaw niyong makatabi) ay yung mga MANYAK.
Huminto ang jeep na sinasakyan ko sa tabi at nagsakay ng isa pang pasahero. Babae, mismo ako, napaluwa ang mata ko!(BIG EYES**) sa iksi ng short niya na halos kita na ang kanyang sin**t. Naka tube na damit pa ito na kitang kita ang kabuuan ng kanyang mala-papayang pinag biyak na dib dib na hulmang hulma ang kabuuan ng kaniyang Cleavage. Sa aking pagmamasid, napansin kong halos lahat, kababaihan man o kalalakihan ay naka-titig, nakasulyap, kunwaring sulyap at napasulyap dito.
Hindi pa nakakalayo sa kanyang pinagmulan ay pumara na ito, sa tingin ko baka nahihiya siya kasi tinitingnan siya ng karamihan (haha! Tinablan ka teh?). Habang pababa siya mula sa dulong upuan na pinagmulan niya, sinampal niya ang isang lalaki at sinabing,
“BASTOS”!
Hinawakan daw umano ng lalaking ito ang kanyang hulihan, o sabihin na nating *pwet*. Bahagyang natigil ang byahe at pinababa ang lalaki, at bumaba na din yung babae. Sabi ng mamang Driver, Bumaba na kayo, sa labas na kayo ng Jeep magtalo!
Bakit nga ba may mga taong di iniisip kung anong hitsura nila? Nag susuot ba sila ng ganun dahil sa tingin nila maganda sila? O dahil gusto nilang maka akit ng mga kalalakihan? TAPOS TEH MAGREREKLAMO KANG BINABASTOS KA? EH ANG SUOT MO HALOS MAKITA NA ANG KALULUWA?

based on my own experience, dumating sa punto na namanyak na din ako sa loob ng jeep TWICE!… i don’t wear sexy clothes, simpleng Jeans and t-shirt kasi dun ako comfortable (or because i possess a good genes that gives me beautiful face!lol!kidding!)… but then d tlga maiiwasang may mga MANYAK na walang pinipili…. khit ano pang pgdadamit gawin mo mapasexy o hndi, girls! ingatan ang sarili….
I have to commend this article for being controversial. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. In my own opinion, perception plays an important part. If you give the impression that you are someone with loose morals then other people would see you as someone like that. The safe thing to do is wear the appropriate outfit at the right place, at the right time. If there are untoward incidents such as this, it is because you gave other people the wrong impression. Not everyone would have the chance to know you, so you better be careful on how you dress up.

It’s saddening to say that most filipinos have still not outgrown their perception of confident women who dare to flaunt as being plainly provocative. Most women are adaptive to environment. Philippines is too hot a country, she’s not even given the benefit of the doubt that maybe the reason was the weather. As long as women don’t wear this in the church, or in the corporate world, and they know how, where and when to confidently flaunt, please give them the opportunity.

Anong kinalaman ng morality dun sa istorya eh wala namn ginawa yung babae? Yung lalaki walang moral. Sinabi din sa bible huwag ka mag-judge at walang karapatan kahit sino at ikaw din ang majujudge. wrong context naman yung ginamit mo na verse sa bible eh. Hindi naman sa damit tumitingin ang Diyos kundi sa puso. nung unang panahon nga, dahon lang ang pantakip so masama ba iyon?

Kultura ng Pinoy conservative daw so kailangan manamit ng maayos sa Pinas pero kahit na manamit ng maayos sa Pinas, nababastos pa nga eh.
Kagaya nung experience ng asawa ko, naka square pants na siya, naka-blazer in short maayos ang pananamit pero pagbaba niya ng dyip hayun hinawakan yung butt niya. So paano iyon? So nasa pag-iisip ng tao iyon. Karamihan ng lalaki mahilig. Nagkakataon lang di nila mapigilan ang tukso. So sila na ang mananagot sa Diyos.

oo nga… ano ba ang inaaasahan nila? gusto mo pa lang galangin ka, di ka naman nag-ayos? sige na.. maayos na yung damit. wala nga namang butas o di naman sira-sira. pero ano ang iisipin ng iba sa suot mo? me tamang lugar para sa ganung kasuotan. Kung mamamasahe ka (mag-jeep) at ayaw mong mamanyak o mabastos, umayos na lang tayo, sa kasuotan at pagkilos. tayo rin kasi ang nagbibigay ng dahilan para di tayo galangin ng ibang tao eh. isipin na lang natin, kagalang-galang ba ako?
hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit kailangan isisi lagi sa babae yung pagiging bastos ng mga lalaki dahil lang sa kasuotan nya. hindi na ba maari na magsuot ka ng ganoong klase ng damit sa kadahilanang may karapatan na ang mga di makapagpigil na mga kalalakihan? eh saan ba ang problema? di ba sa mga kalalakihan mismo? kung talagang may pinag-aralan sila at may pagrespeto sa mga kababaihan, hindi nila babastusin ang mga ganong klaseng babae. kesehodang nakahuabd pa ito sa harapan nila. kelan pa sila nagkaroon ng karapatan na mangbastos dahil meron silang palusot na kesyo ganito ganyan manamit ang babae. hindi ba kayo marunong magpigil ng inyong mga sarili?
para mo na ring sinabing may karapatan ka nang holdapin ang isang tao dahil lang sa nakita mong nagbibilang sya ng kanyang pera sa daan. o di kaya’y may suot-suot syang mga gintong alahas sa katawan.

ang totoong manyak, kahit hindi ganun ang suot mo, basta nakita nilang babae ka, papatusin ka na… ganun kalala ang utak ng mga manyak. pero for the sake of paggalang, mas maganda na maging appropriate na lang tayo, di ba?

Siguro, ang tignan na lang natin dito sa article ni Akiko ay yung punto de vista na 1) dito sa Pinas, maraming Public Vehicles: pedicab, tricycle, jeep, bus, LRT, MRT and the like. 2) Generally, konserbatibo pa rin ang nakararami dito sa ating bansa at hindi COMMON sight yung mga OVER sexy na mga pananamit (as in kita yung singit, very low cleavage, at lalo na kung braless!) 3) Although everyone has the right to wear what one likes (kesehodang gusto lang magdisplay ng kaseksihan or komportable lang talaga siya sa ganoong kausotan, whatever her reason iginagalang natin yun), 4) me mga taong mahina ang self-control kapag nakakakita ng OVER SEXY (ke sa Pinas man o labas ng Pinas siguro?). Malamang, ang gustong ipahiwatig dito ni Akiko ay kapag nasa mga pampublikong lugar ka o sasakyan, kung ganoon ka OVER SEXY ang nais mong isuot, ihanda mo ang sarili mo sa mga hindi mo gustong mangyari pero baka mangyari dahil baka me mga gigilerong hindi kayang magpigil ng sarili nila. (Di ba over sexy ang topic mo, Akiko, at hindi yung sexy o slightly sexy lang?)
