Imeldific Syndrome..

Maging lalaki man o babae, we all suffer from this kind of sickness..

Happy New YEar Everyone!!

For me, it’s okay to buy some leisures. If it makes us happy why not? :)
As long as pinaghirapan mo ang ginamit mong pambili, wala ng pakialamanan LOL :)

Well done Ms,j.

  6. Awww, guilty as charge Ms. J!

  7. Actually, i first heard “imeldific” from a friend who saw me arranging my collection of shoes to the new rack I bought–I don’t count them but i know they are plenty (so are my bags and clothes) :) Initially, I thought he’s just mocking me, but I just realized it is indeed a word coined after the former first lady…I agree that if you have the capacity to buy and you know that it’ll make you happy, no one should question you–besides, it’s your money to begin with! Life is short so we should enjoy it, just make sure that what you use for buying are extras and not those allocated for necessities (like buying alcohol so early in the morning to get drunk while your family’s starving)

Lastly, when guilt comes in, I suggest you watch Bio Channels “Hoarders” so as to see what is indeed extreme :D If you’re not like those featured in the show, then your good ;)

  8. Guilty! hehehe

  9. As for me, I didnt write this blog to brag or to flaunt all my collections..its more of understanding the “sickness” most people have..

I agree with zenette who made her comment, that for some people, it is our way of showing, yes it is okay to spend money for your own happiness.. For some people including me,bags and wrist watches and shoes makes me happy..gagamitin ko ng ilang beses then I actually give away din…
As for giving or donating to less fortunate, I dont have to let the whole world know.. know…=))

    • As for giving or donating to less fortunate, I dont have to let the whole world know=))

      • I have qualms about “donating” stuff, really. I don’t really feel the need to donate just because people say that I live in excess and I should donate to the “needy”. Really? Isn’t it that I am only helping the “needy” become more dependent on what other people can give? Don’t get me wrong, I WILL donate for a cause I know that is worthwhile, but just giving them food and clothes isn’t going to change anything. They’ll still be uneducated, and stupid. I’d rather donate and take part of outreach programs that promote education and awareness, than donate to “charities”. Like the saying goes: “Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime”. :)

        • Hmm, well my take on that is that the essence is not on how the donation will “actually” affect the recipient–but the fact that you gave something to people who are less fortunate. We really have no control as to the distribution–be it fair or unfair, be it enough or just a quick fix–but the fact that we actually gave something kindly and wholeheartedly, that’s a natural high that no shoes or bags or clothes can give :)

  10. i really don’t get why people spend so much money on shoes, bags, jewelries, etc. I mean—I like them too pero may iba na willing gumastos ng milyon para sa iisang bag lang and I feel like that’s such a waste of money. they could’ve fed a whole village with that much money. i guess we really do live in a materialistic world lol

  11. kng yan mga sapatos at mga bag n yan ibininta at itinulong s kabbayan nten nghhirap at halos wlang makain d marami pang nkibang at mapaligaya nla.ok lng nman sna mangolekta bsta wg un msyadong mdami at hnd rn lng nman xa utang un pinambli s mga yan.Gud day to all….

  12. i have heard this word before back when i was in my university years..and to admit it before i heard this word i already have 2 three doors closet full of clothes, even so when i am about to go out, it took me long time to decide what to wear because i thought i don’t have enough to choose from..its actually loving ourselves and giving ourselves the best treat!haha

    • agree…some of us are working hard, treat nalang natin sa sarili……but kung nagugutom na pamilya mo at nagkaka-utang ka para sa luho mo, that’s a different story.

      • Yup, my thoughts exactly. :) Minsan, ok lang naman din mangutang if it’s really needed, though. Need, e.g. you need a replacement phone for your broken one asap.
