Charice bids goodbye to Glee, David Foster
Charice Pempengco will not be seen again in Fox’s TV Series “Glee”. The move is seen as a bid to give the number one spot to co-actor Lea Michelle. Furthermore, as she would like to focus on her younger fans and audience, Charice is also set to end her professional ties with mentor David Foster.
Not all is lost however as she is tapped to be the endorser for Indonesia’s top teen Magazine – Go Girl, gracing their cover issue this September.
The New York Post insider reports that Charice was removed from the TV series primarily because she has been seen to have overshadowed the lead star Lea Michelle. Charice played the role of an exchange student Sunshine Corazon who is a direct rival of character Rachel Berry played by Michelle.
Pempengco has been contracted for 5 appearances in the hit series but only appeared in the pilot and last two-episodes. Glee management spokesperson has already categorically denied the rumors and allegations while obviously defending Michelle.
While Charice also wanted to focus more on a much younger audience, she has ended her formal legal ties with David Foster, her mentor for three years. Foster mentored Charice until she made it to the international scene. Incidentally, Foster also left Reprise/ 144 label of Warner Music which produces Charice’s records. Foster is now associated with Verve label of Universal Music. While the possibility of them working together will be put on hold, the prospect of them working in the future is always feasible.
In addition to her changing professional situation, Charice has been signed to grace the cover of Go Girl! Magazine, Indonesia’s top teen magazine, where Charice has a large fan base. Go Girl is Indonesia’s most popular teen magazine with readers ageing from 15-25 years old.
With her sensational singing prowess, her candid and sweet demeanor, Charice’s career is seen to bloom wherever it may lead her.

“Glee” is not a great lost to Charice neither Mr. David Foster.. Nainsecure ang ‘Glee’ main lead star kay Charice, kasi nathreaten ang career nya..hehe, coz Charice is more popular and great singer than her.. while to Mr. David Foster, Charice must by all means be grateful, vis-a-vis.
Wherever she may go, I’ll always believe that her star will shine forever. She’s one of a kind lady who is gifted with extraordinary talent nobody can ignore. Her astounding voice will always be cherished and admired. Charice is a mere example of “from rags to riches” story who conquered even the world. Go, Charice…you have so many admirers..and your disappearance in Glee will not be your loss, it’s theirs…Good luck always!!!!
I’m sure she’ll be gone for good.
I’m sure she’ll be gone for good.
I’m sure she’ll be gone for good.
I never like her anyway on Glee! She doesnt know how to act! Glee was a great musical series when she was not there. It will still be a great show without her!
