A Letter to the Man I Love

My Love,

Our love started to flourish in the house of the Lord and in the same place, we ended it. But the Lord is so good to us for he sees us through however way we parted. He knew the desires of our hearts and again in His house, He crossed our paths and rebuilt us Himself and through His grace, he helped us to start again. And we shall end only in His hands. Never will I allow anyone to hinder this love for I have witnessed with my own heart how far it has conquered and I don’t think it will ever cease to carry on. I’ll always praise the Lord for giving me the capability to love up to this extent and depth and knowing that you have the same sentiments towards me, I will feel forever blessed. People tend to look for such “great love” all their lives and I am filled with gratitude to have found it in you. There is no reason for me to search anymore because the best person that I could ever love is already in front of me and you will always be more than enough. My eyes speak of overwhelming adoration for you more than my mouth could even utter a single word and my heart is overflowing with love and it is to you alone I can give such. I will forever speak of my beautiful testimony about how our Maker performed miraculous works in us; and may the love we have become an inspiration to other struggling couples to bring their relationships to God because no one is the most secure than the one who surrendered their hearts to Christ. I can proudly say that I walk now with the most meaningful life simply because you were one of the people in my path who made me realize that I have a mighty God who has the best intentions for me and in His words and promises, I lay all my doubts and fears. He made me realize that living simply and making most of His blessings is where you will find contentment and security; that money, fame and success are nothing but mere possessions; that the joy of living is found in taking risks; that you will find the meaning of life in the presence of the people that matters to you most; that the essence of life is to love without hesitation, without conditions and without the fear of the pain it might cause you; and most of all, to share the wonderful truth of His greatness and promised salvation to every person we will meet.

No one can ever understand everything we went through but us that’s why no one has the right to judge us but the Lord who watched over from above who saw how we sacrificed, how we suffered, how destroying the tears of sadness were and how rewarding it is to taste the tears of victory. It was He alone who sees the pureness and innocence of our hearts to the sorrow life brought to us and because of that, He came down from heaven to take hold of our love because he witnessed how real it is—how it sparkles like a diamond, how the sun cannot come up without shining, how there are no trees without its seeds, how there is no fish without water and how incomplete I will be without you, my God-sent match. Slowly, He reached out His healing hands to our bleeding wounds and redeemed us from the darkness of the past. He provided us another opportunity to transform ourselves into a God-driven person that wishes nothing but happiness for the one he loves, to learn to put others before him and to discover the core meaning of real loving. He prepared our hearts to accept what has long gone, to face and overcome our fears that keep on holding us back, to take risks to love again and to create countless beautiful memories together like the sand in the seashore. Today is His gift that is why it is called PRESENT and in it we shall live it the best way.

My love, we will be struck again with even more heavy attacks of the storm. But fear not, for anyone who holds on firmly in God’s hands has the strongest shield. Let us continuously walk with Him for if we do, He will assure our protection in each battle we will be facing and no enemy so strong can penetrate us. The only fear we can allow is the fear of doing harm to ourselves and to others, the fear of disappointing God and the fear of engaging in wrongdoings. We could fall to the ground to many a time and to curse His name we must not instead we should choose to rejoice in Him and he shall pull us up to greater heights. Our God lives, sees and listens. You have witnessed his greatness in your life, in your family and even in our love. May we continually honour and worship Him together at the church where our love grew even when we will have our own children to raise and up to the time, we will have grandchildren. Gray hairs shall come sprouting one day and the wrinkles will become more evident as each day comes but the love, faith, wisdom and our genuine beauty that matured through the years will still be at its strongest grip with God. We shall still be holding each other’s hands in prayer at age 80 similarly when we were only 20 that you first introduced me to His mighty presence. And this testimony of our eternal love and faith shall be passed on to every generations of our blood and be transferred to the tongues of men so that even after death our names will be remembered because of the great love we shared and the God behind it. May our story become an inspiration to those who lost faith in love so that they can regain courage and seek for the Almighty to renew their spirits and prepare them for the wonderful life that lies ahead.

Do what you must; I will never fail to understand you. Work hard, do your best, enjoy your job, live your life. I shall not demand time nor ask of you to put much effort in me for I choose to love you without expecting anything. Just know that at the end of the day, I am always waiting for you to come home however late the night is and I will not close my eyes not until I am secured that you are safe and someday, if God will permit, we shall live together in one roof and still will I be waiting to hold you in my arms and put you to your sweet slumber and appreciate every beauty and peace I find in you so that even in my sleep I recount all the splendor you possess and thank God for giving such gift too beautiful for me to deserve. Allow me to take care of you and love you all the days of my life. I love you and everyday I just can’t help falling in love with you all over again and this love will only get deeper. Thank you for letting me in to your life again and for making me discover the best person that I can be that I never thought would exist. Thank you for letting me love you and savour the beautiful feeling of being loved by you. In you, I unfold God’s greatest blessing and every moment with you is priceless. We will fight the good fight and in every fight, we will only find ourselves loving each other more.
