I am pro RH BILL

About leolutero

I am pro RH Bill although I do not contradict the wisdom of “the more, the merrier”. I do not believe in overpopulation although I believe there is a problem with the population.

The ultimate reason why I want Filipinos to gain access to modern birth control methods is that I want every Filipino child to be born into the world with opportunities. Every child is a parent’s responsibility. People are saying that babies are being viewed as extra expense and not anymore the romantic “bundle-of-joy” but we have to face the fact that these “bundles-of-joy” won’t feed themselves, they need to be educated, to be well-clothed and roofed – all of these require resources.
Yes, babies are adorable. The problem is I would rather not see a cute, helpless baby face a future of nothingness because being the nth child in the family, no one could buy him/her education, spare him/her a good spot to sleep on, feed him/her healthy food. That is inhuman.

Its hard to say this, but I would prefer not seeing a baby at all than see a beautiful miracle suffering through life, having less opportunities.

And yes, the population cannot affect the economy of a nation. I believe so – but when the population starts to ask from the government more than it can give, if the population multiplies itself without earning the proper resources to sustain it, the population and the government will turn into mush and that is exactly what is happening.

Parents, both unemployed, give birth to their millionth child. If they can’t even feed the ones already there, how will they manage to give this one a happy life? They start asking the government for this and that. In this setting, its impossible to understand that the government doesn’t work by spoon-feeding the masses, it only manages the improvement of the populace which it is a part of.

Currently, we are following an unsustainable system. The poor asks for money, the government gives what it can. Quick fix. Instead of teaching a man how to fish, we give him half of a fish then call him poor.

I was boggled by how this RH Bill is taking a lot of time to be indoctrinated.

Then here comes the church. Sometimes I wonder if they are really considering the greater good or if they just want everyone to see who is the boss. Well, God is the boss, not them. Maybe they are too close to God they actually start to think THEY ARE God. The same thing that happens to animals born to foster parents of different kind. And a lot of people deliberately forget that the church and government are different dictionary entries. What a shame and that is what I consider sad.

Using contraceptives is like saying you can’t rear a child. That is maturity. Postponing giving birth to something so beautiful because you can’t give it a wonderful future – that is selfless love.

So these are the reasons why I am pro RH Bill.

My name is Leo Lutero and I blog at leolutero.blogspot.com

  • i say no to RH BILL. pano naman na yung mga babies na dapat maipanganak?? pero dahil sa RH BILL, hindi nila makkita how beautiful earth is.. hindi ba natin sila bibigyan ng chance para mabuhay.. sabi nga ni GOD,”you shall not kil”.. may kaapatan ang bawat bata na mabuhay.. so if we don’t let them to live, we are violating our rules na din.. so we should not kill babies.. at hindi problema ang overpopulation.. everything hasd its own solution.. we just need to help each other in order for our country to prosper..

  • love and live are correctional, they are connected. why cant you see it? so what if people will be educated about sex? does it mean that they will have sex all the time? having sex is a choice. it not like RH BILL is promoting sex. sex is not the matter here. its about PLANNING AND HAVING A CHOICE. its about giving enough time to couples to build a more concrete foundation. we cant turn back time guys. and as time goes by, while were arguing about that bill, people suffers. many future have been destroyed because we are so ignorant in everything. we are afraid to try things. we always argue the negatives without even considering the positive. we say that contraceptive kills. yes it does, it kills sperm. so what? man kill sperms too. we have drugs with many adverse effect and yet were taking them. and now? just because contraceptive is oh against the idea of conception, people rejects it. can you define conception? huh? we stick in their medical definition oh heck. we should define it in our own terms.

It’s to educate couple for a more effective family planning. More on family planning naman yun. FAMILY, couple, at hindi pang premarital sex. yes, sex is sacred.

I am anti premarital sex. We should educate our children and teach them values para hindi sila mapunta dun, bakit mo sasabihan ang anak mo ng “Gumamit ka ng ganito para hindi ka mabuntis” eh kung pede mo namang sabihing “Wag mong gagawin ito kasi ganyan, ganito”.

Anti RH BILL ako kasi RH Bill will just provoke not the ‘liberality’ of the people, but their IDIOCRACY and MEDIOCRITY in aligning to such thought and practice. Both genders, magiging parausan lang. Moral compromise and humanity will be doomed.

Hindi overpopulated ang pilipinas there are just IMPROPER DISTRIBUTION and DISPLACEMENT of PEOPLE. Nagsisiksikan sa syudad, napakalawak ng provinces!

We must respect life from the moment of conception to birth.
Actually, pills can’t help reproductive health. (1) it’s chemical compound is bad to the female’s ovary (2)pinipigilan ba nito yung pagspread ng STD? No, it only stops the release of egg cells but leaving the female’s organ vulnerable.

And one flaw. With this logic, ok lang magsex, di naman makakabuntis. Eh according to the bible, the SOLE purpose of sex is reproduction. Otherwise, it’s rooted to LUST which is a sin.

Saka bakit pa kailangan ng RH BILL eh you have a freedom to buy condoms at pills naman ah. Asan ang freedom to choose what you want(wala kasing want kanina hahaha) there? Mawawala demokratikong pamamahalaan natin dyan!

Yes to Life. No to RH BILL

U should check ur details pra khit papano mging valid or intelligible argument naman yang sinsabi mo, ndi ung Made up story just to mock this bill.

      • Philosophia

moreover, the passing of this bill, then, offers us a critical opportunity to expand the CHOICES of Filipinos in new and unprecedented ways.

in my own opinion, tumira din kami sa squatters area at nakakita na ako ng mga teenager na maagang nabubuntis, sabi sa tv ng mga anti RH bill dapat sa sariling tahanan nagmumula ang sex education, mga magulang daw ang dapat magturo nyan sa mga anak nila. sa tingin ko hindi lang dapat sa tahanan nagmumula o itinuturo yan, dahil sa bahay mga ilangan factor na yan, pati na rin dapat sa paaralan itinuturo na yan, at higit sa lahat dapat itinuturo na rin yang sa mga nakatira sa kalsada, wag na tayong mga deny, kulang talaga sa kaalaman ang ilan sa atin lalo na yung mga kababayan nating hindi nakapag aral, ni hindi nila alam ang reproductive system eh. ako, pagod na pagod na akong makakita ng mga batang nakahubad sa kalye, namamalimos, nangangalakal para lang may pangkain, pagod na rin akong makakita ng mga batang solvent at gumagawa ng masama, pagod na rin akong makakita ng buntis na namamalimos sa mga overpass, at lalong pagod na rin akong mapanood ng balita na may mga fetus na itinatapon kahit saan. yan ba ang gusto ng mga pari? itapon nalang kung saan ang mga fetus na yan dahil sa unwanted pregnacy? dahil kulang sa proper care ng kanilang mga ina? hindi ko sinasabing RH bill ang solusyon sa kahirapan, para sa akin isa lamang itong step para makabangon ang ating bansa, wala na dapat comparison sa ibang bansa na kesyo naipasa yung ganito ganyan..tama yung comment ng isa dito. knowledge is power. lahat ay may solusyon kung lahat ay may proper knowledge.

  • PinoyAllOver

Rh Bill is not a solution, but a problem. The moral values of filipino people about sex, will be gone. FYI, Sex is sacred and holy. hindi ito yung tipong kung kailan mo gusto eh gagawin mo. That’s immorality. Kasi people tend to think Reality. No, eh paano ang 5yrs old na babae? Is it right? Stupid government, why they can’t consider na may mga BATA sa lipunan na might absorb that sex is fine as long as we have protection. I’m sorry if I might offend you. But i’ll tell you this, Reality is not everything. Do we want it? No, right?

    • masesher

Where do you based your comments? please read this study http://unesdoc.unesco.org/images/0018/001884/188495e.pdf and see if what you were thinking / taught by your church coincide with it. iba yung sabi sabi lang ng mga pari at sa statistics ng katotohanan. and if you want to keep the morality of the people, try helping people understand it, and not oppose a bill which aims to better the life of so many poor people. ang daming couples dyan kung mag-anak eh parang pabrika! RH bill aim to these people, so pag pinigilan nio to at namatay ang mga couples na to, it is YOU who brought them to their deaths. d ba kasalanan din yun?

Don’t get me wrong, i believe in God, but not in religion.

      • FattyGirl

  • masesher

LOGIC: more sex (with contraception) = less babies = less poverty = asking for alms = less power (over people) of church. BTW, not everything that the catholic church says is true. check the bible Matthew 23:8,, all catholic members are sinners, not because they chose to, but because of the people running the church :p

    • mamai1016

@masesher i respect your opinion but I’m anti RH. Mas lalaganap ang premarital sex if contraceptives ay mdaling mkuha lng over d counter. Para skin u should educate first the people on the essence of family values. Sex should be sacred, monogamous. Mas maaga m-corrupt minds ng mga bata if sex education is being advertised on the TV instead the parents dapat mag-educate sa kanila. Isa nko dun and i regret taking that meds..:(

      • masesher

@mamai1016:: i’m all for the monogamy thing. I think that proper delivery of education is of utmost importance. Many of our elders are not well-educated kaya nga maraming batang kalye d ba? On contraceptive issue, condoms are already displayed at drug stores and supermarkets. so what’s new? for oral-type contraceptives, there are certain conditions where it is strongly advice for women not take it, but it does not mean that all women should. Do you have cancer? or stroke? those two are the most uncommon side-effects of pills. But like all other meds, it has instructions, limitations and requirements to follow. like Mr. Ernie Baron often said.. “Knowledge is power”

  • masesher

sunugin ang simbahan, sunugin ang CBCP!!! LOL

    • Aira Mae Gino

    • Ianne Sahagun

ano ba yung sinasabi mong nilelegalize ng goverment? RH Bill doesn’t state legalization of premarital sex. it is not illegal by law in the first place. illegal siya dahil illegal siya according sa conscience natin. and I for one am not pro premarital sex. and RH Bill is not the cause of the doubled population in Thailand. just so you know.

    • pro RH bill ako. look at our situation. it doesnt matter how many FILIPINOS are there right now. try looking at our whole situation. come on guys, we grow up with knowledge that we can get in every aspect. tv, radio, books, anything. IGNORANCE or lack of knowledge is dangerous. we know it. we are ignorant at times. and what do we do when were ignorant about something? isnt it that we try to look about this something right? we look at so many things. and those many things have negative and positive influence on us. say, a man is ignorant about sex. oh yes sex. he can ask his friends since he’ll be shy to ask about it in his parents, right? so his friends tell him what they know. i dont need to say them but im sure you know what i mean. and then he’ll try to look at the internet. our good old internet which is the primary site of child pornography yes? then he’ll be able to visualize sex. later on, out of curiosity and of course just to LEARN what he knew, he’ll have sex with someone. then he’ll learn the JOY (esp. man) of having sex. it will evolve into habit. teenagers desire are uncontrollable at times. it will be an endless concept of trial and error. oh come on. you dont want that do you?
but looking back, with RH BILL, maybe parents will try to educate their child the pros and cons of conception. here comes school who will further improve their knowledge about family planning and the possible consequences of using contraceptives since its part of family planning right? it’s not like RH BILL rejects the idea of the church. actually, it reinforces their teaching by giving man and woman the choice to plan for their future. a child is a gift. a child must be born with love, with every possible support it can have. does using contraceptive lessens love?

      • manie aragones

well pro rh bill din ako, ok n pairalin yan, sobra dmi n ng populasyon ntin, dapat kung ano lng kakayahan mo mag anak yun lng, tulad nlng sa mga nsa eskwater dami nila anak di nila mapakain, sisihin ang gobyerno di sila tinutulungan dba. Pra skin lng pro rh bill ako. Pra stin din to!
