MAYOL WINS !!!

This has got to be one of the most satisfying win for Rodel Mayol. He won the WBC Light Flyweight crown from Edgar Sosa via 2nd round KO. Yes, it was a 2nd round KO, it’s not a typo. It’s such a huge win considering many failed attempts in trying to conquer world champion caliber fighters.

What’s more impressive is that he won via KO in Sosa’s home country of Mexico. It’s very difficult to fight, let alone win in someone’s home turf. A fighter either needs to knock his opponent out or be at the mercy of the judges. Mayol opted at the former. Finally, Mayol’s a world champion.
