This blog and the Facebook Page was born from the idea that we should further our culture regardless of where we are, or where we were born. It is meant to be interactive so everyone can learn from each other. Around May 2009, I was browsing Facebook’s other Filipino Groups and Pages and realized that there wasn’t really a place in Facebook where Filipinos can mingle and meet others. These Groups/Pages, though promoting Filipino culture and pride, did not have interaction between its members. Their members would simply visit the group in the beginning, then forget about it afterwards and seldom return. This is the basis and philosophy behind this Page. It’s the place to come, learn, interact and belong…. We were founded July 27, 2009 and has since grown close to 1.1 million members (as of November 2010) – the largest culturally-related Filipino group on the internet!
NARVACAN, ILOCOS SUR… I was overwhelmed with their very warm welcome. “Welcome home, hija!” masayang salubong ni tito Manuel, saba […]

I am an au pair in Denmark. Au pair is translated as “on equal terms “ as the other members of the host family; it pertains to those girls between 18 to 29 who live with a host family to learn about the culture and way of living in exchange for house works and babysitting maximum of 30 hours per week in up two years contract. But that is of course, the idea […]

I am a Nurse. Whether I spend most of the time at the bedside or in front of students, I am still a nurse. Every day, my goal is to influence a nurse to do her very best, as others have done before. I am but one of the fortunate ones given the privilege […] […]
